In just one day, you can easily reach unique places, real jewels in the crown of Italy; among these, the Cinque Terre National Park, which since 1997 has been included among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites (during the summer period a ferry service is available from Marina di Massa). Easily reachable, both by car and train, are Tuscan art cities like Pisa – famous for the Leaning Tower and Piazza dei Miracoli, Florence – with Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery, and Lucca – renowned for its walls and its historic centre where, every November, the famous event “Lucca Comics & Games” is staged and, in the summer, the “Lucca Summer Festival” with star protagonists from all over the world.
Not far away are Siena – famous for its palio, San Gimignano and Volterra, whose old-town centre has hosted the Twilight saga set.
